Approximately fifty kilometers west of Prague the small town of Nizbor is situated at the river Berounka, which is host to the traditional and famous glass factory. In the 18 th century the family Rückl moved to Bohemia from Switzerland. The glass factory has become world famous with its ros é-colored Italian and cut glass and until today it has enjoyed great veneration due to the high quality and distinctiveness of the products. Crystal from this glass factory has been presented to Bill Clinton, Pope John Paul II and Queen Elizabeth II during official state visits.
