Excursion to Marianske Lazne
|
Marianske Lazne is the youngest spa town of the western Bohemian spa triangle. Not only does this spa town attract tourists and wellness aficionados because of its thermal mineral water springs, but also because of the ____ located in the Russian Orthodox Church which received a gold medal at the World Expo in Paris in 1900. In 1820 Goethe was fascinated by the thought of creating a spa town at this location. Only years later he made his last marriage proposal; however, the young and beautiful Ulrike von Lewetzow declined the proposal by the 70-year-old Goethe. And Goethe was not the only one: she never did get married. On this tour you will be introduced to Marianske Lazne and its history.
